Jerry Bowen will report from California on the latest, and more on what's behind all the wet weather.

TUESDAY MORNING ON THE EARLY SHOW
Harry Smith,
Hannah Storm,
Julie Chen, and
Rene Syler will anchor
THE EARLY SHOW from New York.
Dave Price will bring us the weather.
Along with the top news of the day, we will also have the following stories:
CHILD KIDNAPPING: According to the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, nearly 60-thousand children will be abducted this year alone. While you cannot guard your children every minute, there are ways to make your child more kidnap-proof. EARLY SHOW correspondent Tracy Smith will tell us about radKIDS, an offshoot of RAD--or Rape Aggression Defense--that was designed for women. radKIDS is a program that teaches kids to punch and kick their way out of an attacker's hands . It's no guarantee they'll escape the bad guys, but it at least gives them a fighting chance. Tracy Smith will also talk to fourth grader Candy McBride who used the skills she learned in the radKIDS program to fend off and escape from an attacker earlier this year.
THE INSIDER: The entertainment world's rumor mill continues to churn. The Insider's Pat O'Brien will join us from Los Angeles to help separate fact from fiction.
MAKING CHILDBIRTH PAIN FREE: Three out of five women who deliver a baby each year in the United States receive an epidural, but it is often withheld until the woman's cervix has widened to four centimeters on the belief that women who get a pain-killing shot earlier face a higher risk of caesarean section. However, a new study seems to debunk the notion that pain relief early in labor will lead to a c-section. Researchers found pregnant women can be given a low-dose epidural early in labor without raising their chances of a caesarean section. The findings could change the way obstetricians practice medicine and make childbirth less painful for many mothers to be. EARLY SHOW medical contributor Dr. Emily Senay will bring us all the details.
WEEK OF WISHES: We'll continue our special five-part Week of Wishes series--as we make another unsuspecting viewers dream come true.
WEIGHT LOSS SUCCESS STORIES: Many people find losing weight to be a losing proposition. But Dave Price recently found that's it's a lot easier to drop those unwanted pounds if you do it with friends. He'll introduce us to the "biker babes" of Irvine, California. Together, this group of women has lost nearly 300 pounds.
VALERIE BERTINELLI: It's hard to believe but it was almost 30-years ago that a single divorced mom named Ann Romano and her two daughters decided to take life One Day at a Time. The popular sitcom ran for nine seasons making a star of Valerie Bertinelli, who played younger daughter Barbara. Tuesday night on CBS Bertinelli sits down with costars Bonnie Franklin and MacKenzie Phillips for a look back at some classic moments on the One Day at a Time Reunion Special. Valerie Bertinelli will join us with a preview of the reunion.
MAKING THE PERFECT CAKE...WITH ADVICE FROM AN EXPERT: Colette Peters is one of the world's premier cake designers. She has been the owner of Colette's Cakes, a specialty cake company in New York City, for over 20 years. Colette Peters will join us to share a few of her favorite recipes from her new cookbook, Cakes to Dream on: a Master Class in Decorating.
