Father's Day is coming up on June 19 and we want to know how wonderful the Hopkinton fathers are. Do you have a man in your life who you think is a great dad? We at the Crier will be doing a feature on fabulous fathers who go above and beyond the job of fatherhood. Red Sox vs. Yankees tix auctioned
The Cultural Arts Alliance is raffling off Red Sox tickets! The four 3rd base grandstand tickets are to the July 17th game verses the Yankees!!! Only 200 tickets will be sold! Raffle tickets are $25.00 each. The raffle will be drawn on June 17th at the CAA Talent Show. To purchase tickets contact the CAA at 435-9222.
Timlin 5K
Sign up night for the Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K is Tuesday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. to be held at PR Running in Westborough, beginning at 9 a.m. The race will take place Saturday, June 18, in Hopkinton. All proceeds from the race will go to the Angel Fund to benefit ALS research.
Raffle prizes and store discounts will be offered to those who register the night of the 7th at PR Running. For more details call Jess at 508-366-8101.
Jenny's Run for radKIDS
On June 5, in Norfolk. RadKIDS is a national 501 C 3 not for profit violence prevention program headquartered in Harwichport. With 1700 instructors teaching programs in 46 states, radKIDS is the leading child safety program in North America. radKIDS is credited with educating more than 70,000 children with life saving skills. One of our local instructors, Jennifer Canelli planned to run the Boston Marathon to raise funds for radKIDS. Jennifer died tragically in an accident last May before she could run. In her honor, we have established the Jenny's Run for radKIDS. The 5K (3.1 run/walk and children's races) will be held on June 5 at the H. Olive Day School on Main St. in Norfolk. Registration and number pick up will be at 9:00 am the race will begin at 10:00 am. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants. Registration fees are 20.00 for adults and 5.00 for children aged 12 and under. Prizes will be awarded to the first place male and female winners in each age category. We will be holding a raffle with prizes including hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, admission to many family attractions, merchant products, and memberships. | |
