Jenny's 5K walk/run for radKids planned in Norfolk
Friday, June 3, 2005

NORFOLK - Jenny's Run For radKIDS will take place starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday June 5, at the H. Olive Day School on Main Street in Norfolk.
The race day registration and number pick-up begins at 9 a.m. Fees are $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.
Registration forms will also be available before the race at the Norfolk Public Library, or by contacting Karen Nardone at 508-314-8431 or by emailing her at karen@radkids.org.
Raffle prizes include hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, admission tickets to many attractions, memberships, and merchant product baskets.
radKIDS is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to providing proven effective life saving skills to children by teaching them how to resist aggression defensively.
Since it's inception in 1998, radKIDS has reached thousands of children across North America and has documented more than 150 successes in the prevention of violence and harm to children.
Children as young as 5 have escaped the horrible realities of abduction, bullying, child abuse, sexual assault, and manipulation. In all these incidents the children were able to combine the tools they acquired in radKIDS classes with their own personal abilities and strengths to escape their attackers and return safely to their loved ones. radKIDS is a nationally recognized program featured on America's Most Wanted, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Larry King, Fox and CNN. For more information about radKIDS, please visit the web site at www.radkids.org.
Jennifer Canelli, a radKIDS instructor and late Norfolk resident, planned to run the Boston Marathon to raise funds for radKIDS. She died in a tragic accident in May 2004. Jenny's Run for radKIDS will help to achieve Jenny's goal - to increase the availability of radKIDS programs to children and communities.
For more information, contact Karen Nardone at 508-314-8431 or at karen@radkids.org.
