THE NATIONAL LEADER IN
CHILDREN’S SAFETY & DEVELOPMENT

IS radKIDS® A MARTIAL ART?

The martial arts programs that most children are involved in are typically competition-based, and are usually centered around either sport or combat arts. Martial Arts is a fine addition to a child’s personal safety and personal skills background and we encourage radKIDS® to continue their education within the Martial Arts upon completion or in addition to their radKIDS® training.

The radKIDS® program is based on a structured developmental curriculum that includes realistic physical skills to escape attack or abduction. The radKIDS® curriculum meets and in many cases exceeds the educational standards and requirements within Elementary Health and Physical Education curriculums in all 50 states. radKIDS® is currently being taught in many schools around the country as a personal skill development class as well as a safety culture enhancer within the climate of the school. radKIDS® currently stands alone in successful bullying prevention education within school culture, including the development of the “Zero Victimization School”.

radKIDS® is *not* a sport, and initially teaches children how to develop and establish their personal boundaries while increasing their self-value and self-worth. In addition, radKIDS® does include “Physical Resistance to Violence Skills” allowing a child to “STOP” a fight and or ESCAPE a predatory attack.

The radKIDS® program provides the most holistic and comprehensive approach to children’s safety today. radKIDS® provides realistic skills to recognize, avoid, resist and, when necessary, escape physical violence and/or harm, while helping children establish their own boundaries and enhance their self-esteem and personal resiliency. radKIDS® provides children with valuable real “life skills”, but more importantly, radKIDS® was designed and developed to work together with both children and their parents to create a true partnership and alliance for the children’s safety.
