radKIDS® Inc. is an Educational Not for Profit (501c3) consisting of a dedicated alliance of over 5000 community-based, nationally certified and licensed instructors actively teaching children in 46 States and Canada, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
The radKIDS® Personal Empowerment Safety Curriculum has created a standard of excellence in providing personal empowerment, safety education and violence prevention programs for all children and their families.
radKIDS® provides educational tools and resources that enhances the ability of children, parents, and families to utilize knowledge, skills, and power to protect themselves from violence and harm.
Endorsed by the National Sheriffs’ Association, the radKIDS® educational model is recognized as the national leader in safety education and violence prevention for children in the areas of Abduction, Bullying Prevention, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse.
The radKIDS® Personal Empowerment Safety Education Program is the most effective program available today for the children in your community. radKIDS® will change children’s thinking and behavior to help keep them safer. radKIDS® replaces the fear, confusion and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal boundaries and personal safety skills all founded and secured within the child’s self-value and self-worth. A radKIDS® mindset after the program is, “How dare you hurt me!” instead of “Help Me, Help Me”
PURPOSE
The radKIDS® program is designed to increase children’s ability to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations, violence and harm. Student who participate in the radKIDS® Personal Empowerment Safety Education program are provided with information, tools and skills to better help them to protect themselves when in danger. radKIDS® centers on the development of self-esteem at every level of the educational process because children with self-confidence, personal boundaries and personal safety skills are more resilient and less likely to be victimized.

radKIDS® MAKING A DIFFERENCE
radKIDS® strengthens family, encourages physical fitness, teaches realistic physical skills and core safety values to live by through its program. The radKIDS® curriculum is a fun, activity-based program including lectures, safety drills, physical skills to resist or stop violence or harm, and dynamic simulation. We believe that every child deserves personal and life skills to live safer.
radKIDS® primary mission is to share the radKIDS® developmental curriculum in schools and educational facilities. By certifying educators, community leaders and law enforcement community educators and School Resource Officers to share radKIDS® with children. We can and do enhance the culture and climate in schools. radKIDS® is the founder of the Zero Victimization School Culture and Climate enhancer, reducing bullying and absenteeism while increasing the focus and time in the learning environment, and thereby increasing the evaluated outcome of both the students and the schools.
radKIDS® can also be shared through community based educational programs offered as after school programs, day camps, recreation programs, law enforcement educational initiatives, as well as through scouting and religious youth groups and even concerned parents and adults who truly want to help make a difference in the life of a child.
Through radKIDS® training, children become empowered and learn to replace the fear, confusion, and panic or dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills, and self-esteem.
NATIONAL NETWORK
Community-based organizations and local instructors receive training and support from national headquarters to provide the radKIDS® program as a part of their own youth work. These groups, which have safety goals compatible with those of radKIDS®, include police departments, educational organizations, civic groups, fraternal organizations, faith-based groups, citizens’ groups and concerned parents.
radKIDS® Instructor Licensing and Certification Programs
radKIDS® Personal Empowerment Safety Education National Instructor Certification and Licensing program is a 40-hour instructor development opportunity. This insightful instructor’s licensing and certification is taught in a “modeling style” presenting the radKIDS® curriculum is taught in a relaxed environment over a five day period. Participants are provided with history and insight about the problem of violence against children and are given the necessary training and techniques to empower children to avoid, resist and if necessary escape violence and harm. This is our entry level instructor training and certification standard. Upon successful completion of this class our radKIDS® Instructors are authorized to deliver the radKIDS® curriculum within their communities. Each instructor also receives annual licensing to copy and produce the radKIDS Family manuals and Coloring and Activity books required to teach the radKIDS® curriculum. This makes radKIDS® one of most cost effective children safety initiatives available to any school or community today.
The radKIDS® Curriculum/Program for Kids
The radKIDS® Personal Empowerment Safety Education program is an 8-hour family centered safety education program that emphasizes essential decision-making skills as well as physical resistance options to escape violence. radKIDS® is a life skills educational model that enhances natural instincts with real skills while increasing the foundational resiliency skills we all need to not only survive but excel. Children from 4-13 years of age participate in the program with their adult partners to create a true safety partnership.The radKIDS® curriculum is broken into 3 developmental age groups so that we can address the learning needs of the children in their developmental age group. radKIDS®National Certification includes syllabus and curriculum for Pre-K, 5-7 year olds and 8-13 year olds or by grade level Pre-k thru 6th grade.
PHASE II Instructor Training and Certification
In our commitment to provide the best possible safety education and personal safety skills class for our students as well as the highest standards in training available to our instructors and radKIDS® family, we are excited to offer radKIDS® Phase II Training (Dynamic Simulation) Certification. This training removes the “optional” portion and introduction of Dynamic Simulation from radKIDS® Instructor Certification.
This 2 day-20 hour developmental radKIDS® Instructor Simulation Class (Phase II) prepares both the radKIDS® Guardian Angel and radKIDS® Bad Person or Aggressor with the knowledge, skills, safety standards and expectations so they may include “Dynamic Simulation” in radKIDS® training. This Phase II training is only available to radKIDS® Instructors who are currently certified and licensed as National radKIDS® Instructors. We are truly excited by the success this option as created for all.

Peer Mentoring program
Under the direction of the adult instructors, certified Peer Mentors range in age from 15-18 years of age. Designed to provide additional instructional aide to students, Peer Mentors develop a bond and a friendship to younger children while providing a positive role model. Peer Mentors are good listeners, people who care, people who want to help younger people bring out strengths that are already there. The radKIDS® curriculum is a peer based educational model that also encourages young radKIDS® graduates to fill the role of informal mentors and peer leaders while assisting the certified instructors share the radKIDS® curriculum. This exciting program also provides an opportunity for our Peer-Mentor Instructors to receive full adult certification upon their 18th birthday.
Parent Education and Resources
radKIDS® believes that effective safety education is greatly enhanced when a parent takes an active role in the education process. radKIDS® classes are designed to encourage parent interaction though activity and exercise. The radKIDS® parent manual outlines all information and topics presented to children in radKIDS® to provide parents the opportunity for additional conversation outside the classroom environment with homework and personal skill building exercises. Parent handouts are supplied covering a wide range of relevant safety issues. Resources and information are also available to parents via the radKIDS® website.
College Program
radKIDS® has established a three-credit college course for college students who want to become radKIDS®instructors. Since the program began, student instructors have been offering the radKIDS® program to their college’s community, at elementary schools, and local community centers.
Financial Support
The National Headquarters is supported through income generated from instructor certification courses, instructor re-certification/re-licensing fees, equipment sales, foundation grants, fundraising events held throughout the year, and through special contributions.
On the local level, community based organizations and/or instructors that present the radKIDS® program provide meeting places and often furnish program materials. Families often help to defer costs by paying registration fees to cover costs of instructional materials and supplies.
